ACADEMIC CENTER (7th and 8th Grade)
Over 800 people visited Whitney Young's Academic Center during last year's Academic Center Open House. They were treated to an afternoon packed with school information and student entertainment as they experienced a part of the Whitney M. Young Magnet High School tradition. If you are interested in attending 7th and 8th grade at Whitney Young for the 2009-2010 school year, plan now to attend the Academic Center Open House on Saturday, October 25, 2008. Choose between two identical presentations: 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.

HIGH SCHOOL (9th Grade)
Join us for Whitney Young's Fall Open House on Sunday, October 19, 2008 from 2 - 4PM. Current eighth graders interested in attending high school at WYMHS and their parents will be able to tour the building, talk to students and staff and hear a presentation by Dr. Joyce Kenner, principal of Whitney Young. Presentations will be held every half hour between 2 and 4PM. There is a special presentation for students with special needs from 2:30-3:30PM. Limited parking is available. If you can take public transportation, it is advised.
